Arizona Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) - Providing Network Stability and Access to Quality Healthcare for Nearly 40 Years

Stability and Access. What do these words mean to you?

Merriam-Webster defines Stability as a: the quality, state, or degree of being stable: or b: the strength to stand or endure. Access is defined as: a: freedom or ability to obtain or make use of something b: a way or means of access.

To the employees of AFMC it means the above, and so much more.

  • It means a history of nearly 40 years providing our corporate clients access to quality healthcare and maintaining excellent relationships with the physician community.
  • It means using our expertise to negotiate, and then maintain, contracts with the Hospitals, Ancillary Services, and Providers that employers and their employees’ want. And, because AFMC negotiates contracts on an annual basis, there is little risk for contracts terminating mid year. This ensures continuity of care for members.
  • Finally, it means quality customer service, access to the finest medical management services available, and more choices than other networks.

Competition on the size of medical networks has always been important and will continue to be. What separates AFMC from the others is the ability to stay on top of market trends, continuously identifying client’s needs, and then incorporating those concepts into a preeminent provider network.

An Eye Towards the Future
AFMC continues to provide stability and access to our customers by offering new and innovative services to our clients. In 2007, AFMC partnered with five other Western networks to form VentureNet Healthcare. The end result? VentureNet Healthcare is one of the largest regional PPOs in the nation, offering businesses coverage across eight states. By continuing to pave the way in Arizona with lower costs and new solutions for businesses, AFMC offers an innovative, high-quality plan unmatched in the state.

How AFMC can work for Your Clients
Let AFMC demonstrate how we can help you evaluate your client’s current health plan/network performance and show you how AFMC can provide better value.

We can also recommend ways to develop plan designs to accommodate both rural and metro employer groups, Self Funded groups and Fully Insured groups. And, as your clients needs change, we will be happy to help you re-evaluate those needs and offer you the services that will help you achieve their new goals.

If your client is already contracted to use AFMC’s network, give us a call anyway. We want to hear from you to know how you and your client are doing, and what else we can do to make sure they have the best “AFMC experience”. Your feedback is our greatest asset in evaluating the needs of your clients, addressing any issues, and to develop new products and services.
