INTERFACE EAP
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - August 2, 2007 Innovative Product Offerings from Arizona Foundation for Medical Care - Interface EAP Interface EAP delivers Total Life Assistance with proactive programs for employees and their dependents designed to reduce pharmacy and medical expenditures. The net result for the employer is healthier and more productive staff as well as enhanced medical cost savings. Program Options Employee Assistance Program (EAP) The EAP provides assistance with a variety of issues that affect employee productivity, healthcare and other labor costs. Participants have access to a set number of face-to-face counseling sessions at no charge through a nationwide network of licensed counselors. Other services include: legal & financial assistance, 24/7 phone access to crisis counselors, critical incident stress debriefings (CISD), orientations & training sessions, promotional materials and online wellness services. Enhanced Work/Life & Wellness Services In addition to the online wellness service, this program provides access to work/life case managers and wellness coaches. Program Options for Self-Funded Health Plans Behavioral Healthcare Management (BHCM) BHCM is an integrated program that increases the value of the EAP while controlling the cost of mental health benefits. Through plan design, plan members are directed to the EAP as the first point of contact to access mental health benefits, resulting in more cases being resolved without referral to the health plan. Also included are Care Management services, a nationwide PPO network, review and repricing of claims plus cost savings reports. BHCM reduces the average cost per patient for effectively treating MH/SA. Pharmacy Intervention Protocol (PIP) patent pending. This new and unique program is designed to maximize the value of the EAP. It identifies (through prescription drug use) a significant number of employees and their dependents that are experiencing stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression. Once identified, the PIP candidate is financially motivated to enroll and comply, or incur an increase in the cost for any of the PIP target medications. Compliance is limited to the free services provided under the EAP and results in healthier and more productive employees.
