Aprajita Nakra, DPM

Dr. Aprajita Nakra is board certified in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
 
Dr. Nakra successfully finished a surgical residency program at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. She began practicing podiatric foot and ankle medicine and surgery in Arizona in 2000.
 
In 2004, Dr. Nakra established Advanced Ankle and Foot specializing in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Medicine and Surgery located in Gilbert. Besides private practice, Dr. Nakra has authored chapters in foot and ankle surgery text books and in medical journals. Most recently, she was named as an editor of "McGlamry's Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 4th edition."
 
Dr. Nakra's medical philosophy is to help individuals regain mobility, reduce pain, and have a good quality of life. To foster this philosophy Dr. Nakra lectures nationally and internationally on innovative foot and ankle medicine and surgery topics. She is also involved in numerous clinical and scientific research studies.
 
Dr. Nakra's commitment to podiatric foot and ankle medicine and surgery is seen by her involvement in all aspects of medicine - as such, she was elected and has served as the President of the Arizona Podiatric Medical Association; she sits on the Medical Executive Committees of various local hospitals and surgery centers and is a faculty member at the surgical residency program at the Maricopa Medical Center and at the internationally renowned "The Podiatry Institute".
