AFMC’s Network Plans have been designed to allow your employees the greatest benefit when they receive care from a participating network provider.

Whenever possible, your employees should receive healthcare services from Foundation-contracted providers, specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services, especially for labs, pathology groups, and durable medical equipment (DME) providers. If it is necessary for a provider to refer your employee out-of-network, they should be informing them of that referral before the service is provided. Your employee needs to be aware of any, and all, out-of-network (out-of-pocket) expenses they could incur by using an out-of-network provider or facility.

This process will save your company, and employee, time and money. Please educate your employees, and encourage them to ask questions while in the provider’s office.
